Meet Katie Porras, Reiki Master - Intuitive Guide - Womb Light Master Teacher
I was attuned in Usui/Holy Fire Reiki I/II in September 2014 through Master Teacher, Jessica Miller, Reiki Mastery.
In August 2017, I received my Usui/Holy Fire II, ART/Master’s certification through Colleen Benelli, Reiki Lifestyle. Colleen is a senior licensed master teacher with the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT). In January 2019, I received a Holy Fire III upgrade through William Rand, President of the ICRT. My certifications are all accredited through the ICRT.
After discovering Reiki, I became a member of the Midwest Reiki Community in Chicago. I participated in monthly Reiki shares and volunteered at events, such as administering Reiki to parents at a local public school. I have attended monthly Reiki shares in Carmel, Indiana conducted by Lyn Williams, A Center for Reiki. My studies have widened while attending Lyn’s crystal healing course in 2017. In July 2020, I received my Level 1 Foundation Certificate in Sound Healing through the Sound Healing Academy.
During healing sessions, I invite clients to experience effective physical and emotional shifts while finding a sense of relaxation, grounding, and balance in order to maintain a long-lasting, healthy lifestyle. With the use of crystals, sound healing instruments, and Reiki techniques, I create a welcoming and safe space for healing. I cleanse the aura, balance chakras, break up emotional/energetic blockages, and use grounding and protection techniques dependent on client needs. I also work with spirit animals as an easy way for spirit to give client’s specific messages. I use my intuition and impressions to help guide clients going through their Spiritual Awakening/Enlightenment journeys as well.
I have a background in modern dance and graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor’s degree in 2008. I currently work in downtown Indianapolis as a legal assistant and spend my free time enjoying the outdoors, prancing and dancing around with Crossroads Dance Indy as a company member, and spending time with my family. I currently offer group healing mediations, Reiki and Womb Light sessions at Leaf+Limb in Broad Ripple, IN. I am a Womb Light Master Teacher and offer self healing and practitioner certifications through Womb Light Energy Academy. I look forward to you joining the sisterhood!
I believe in the law of conservation in physics in which energy can never be created nor destroyed but can simply change form. Similar to how the sun creates energy and reflects down upon us (giving us light for absorption) we too can take that same energy and transfer light to each other. I strive to provide positive energy to as many people as I can; to help others keep life simple and light: less stress, higher energy, and a happier sense of self, all with the power of Reiki.
